Depot Manager

Smiths Hire are the Largest Independent Equipment Hire company with 17 Hire It Centres located across the Region. We are looking for a Depot Manager to manage all areas and aspects of our Warrington depot.

Smiths Hire is a Regional award-winning Equipment & Tool Hire provider with the capability to deliver Nationally on Powered Access and Plant Equipment.

We are currently looking for a Depot Manager for our growing Warrington Depot.

This role comes with many responsibilities; however, the main responsibilities are:

  • Sales – Generating new and servicing/expanding current customers through a commitment to first class customer service to help drive the company sales forward.
  • Management – Day to day management of our depot site, and all Depots teams.
  • Financial – Cash/Till, Card payment processing/taking, understanding of the weekly/monthly sales and stock reporting is a must have.
  • Resale area – Keeping a well-stocked, clean and presentable Hire shop.
  • Company Reputation – Carrying out all of the above responsibilities whilst also ensuring that the company’s reputation is paramount ensuring all customers and staff are happy.

As a Depot Manager you should have;

  • A proven track record in management.
  • Strong Sales experience.
  • Experience of people management.
  • PC literate and proactive with IT systems.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • A clear understanding of logistics, operations and sales.
