The Area manager will ensure the depots in their region operate effectively as the per the company expectations.
The Area Manager will work with their Depot managers to recruit, develop and motivate teams to deliver continued performance and growth.
The principle is to achieve the targeted outline GP performance. To deliver at least 80% of their depots meeting the agreed GP targets each month.
- Using depot model and performance data to achieve this.
- To develop the depot managers to follow all the procedures and expectations.
- Aim to spend one day at each of their depots every week.
- Report Directly to the Operations Director.
Transport – One key procedure that puts pressure on the depots and is must be prioritised. Establishing loading before leaving and vehicle on the road by 8am or prior. Organising the HGV depots to deliver from 6:30am.
Workshops – To engage with their colleagues in the workshop department setting daily weekly and monthly targets and motivating to deliver them.
Enquiries– To monitor and develop the depot team to improve the enquiry handling process using training and motivation.
Environment – Encourage the depots to present their depot to the highest standards. A well-run depot will always be clean and tidy including staff, and vehicle presentation.
