Warehouse Operative

Smiths Hire are the Northwest’s Largest Independent Equipment Hire company with 18 Hire It Centres located across the region. Currently in a period of expansion across the business, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative at our Lancaster depot.

As a Warehouse Operative your responsibilities will include;

  • Cleaning of all types of Equipment in preparation for going out for hire.
  • Assisting drivers and customers loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Warehouse organisation, security and safety.
  • Notifying manager of any damaged, dirty or misused equipment.
  • When required delivering equipment to customers so a full UK driving licence is required, complete necessary paperwork and securing loads etc.
  • Learning other job roles in the depot to assist when necessary.

Working hours; Monday to Friday: 08:00am – 17:00pm and Saturday: 08:00am to 12:00pm on a rotational basis.
