Match Day Sponsors at BFC!

We are always proud supporters of our hometown, supporting in various aspects whenever we can – proud to be local to Blackpool but one of our absolute favourite things is to support our home football team – Blackpool FC (the Seasiders or the Tangerines as we know them)! 

The League One fixture against Barnsley on Saturday 20th September was the first match that we as a company have attended this season and we made it all the more special for our guests by being the Official Match Day Sponsor! So, if you attended the game or were watching it live on Sky Sports Plus then you would’ve seen some of our fantastic branding on screens around the park including the LED pitch side boards.

Our Sales and Marketing Director, David Turner, hosted some of our lovely customers who were given the royal treatment in the modern, inviting Matthews Suite. With it being a slightly earlier kick off at 12.30pm, they had an earlier start with some lovely breakfast butties prior to their VIP visit to the dressing room and photos pitch side!

It was a tense match, with 0-0 scores at half time, but the icing on the cake came in the last minute of the game at 90mins +8 to be exact, and the home team were triumphant with the winning goal from Jordan Brown, masterfully set up by Olly Casey.

As you can see from the video footage below, both the hospitality stand and the home stands went wild with jubilant celebration! A long-awaited win for BFC – maybe Smiths Hire was the lucky charm??

Our table enjoyed delicious post-match catering and terrific match insight and stats from local personality, Ged Mills and we had the honour of selecting the Man of the Match too, which was presented to player 30 – Danny Imray.

We can’t wait to watch the action across the rest of the season.
