Customer Service Advisor

Smiths Hire are the Northwest’s Largest Independent Equipment Hire Company with 18 Hire It Centres located across the Region. In a period of expansion, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Service Advisor at our Blackpool Head Office.

Smiths Equipment Hire Ltd, are the Northwest’s Largest Independent Equipment Hire company with 18 ‘Hire It Centres’ located across the region. We’re currently in a period of expansion across the business and have an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Re Hire Coordinator. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who will be responsible for coordinating customer Re hire requests.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate customer service skills and be willing to go the extra mile to help maintain and develop meaningful long term relationships with our customers.

The Key responsibilities and skills of the Re Hire Coordinator are;

  • To deal with all inbound Re hire enquiries efficiently via online forms, email and phone from first contact through to completion of the Hire contract, delivery and collection.
  • Procure hire equipment from our national partners in order to meet our customers’ requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepare quotes accurately in a timely manner when requested by customer and sales person.
  • Keep supplier database up to date.
  • To be highly literate and skilled in email communications and general admin processes.
  • Ensure full utilisation of Smiths own fleet where possible in the Northwest region.
  • General Admin Duties.

You should be able to “think on your feet” and demonstrate excellent problem solving skills. You must also be well organised and have good time management skills whilst working well under pressure.

We need someone who is competent in using MS Office packages, who is self-managed, but can work as part of a dedicated team and take pride in their customer service skills. Attention to detail is essential.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. 1 in 5 Saturdays from 8am-12pm.

This is a full time, permanent position in an exciting expanding team.
